Beware of Google AdSense advertising login banner

hello. It is an urban brush.
Urban Brush has various designers sharing their images through talent donation.
In order to operate this, we raise maintenance costs by registering advertisements (Google AdSense, etc.) on the site.

Advertisements, including Google AdSense, exist as a type of 'fishing advertisement'.
Especially recently, they advertise it as if it were a ‘login’ or ‘sign up’ button on the site.
There are cases where you are asked to sign up for membership on another site, and in some cases, you enter your card number when signing up.
In some cases, payment may be required.

Typically, an advertisement appears as shown in the image above.
When you see this, you may think it is the Urban Brush login button and press the button.
However, the above is an advertisement, and it is an advertisement related to 'mobile phone number login'.

Therefore, if you click the button above, you will be connected to a site with advertisements, not Urban Brush.
This is a method of encouraging people to sign up for or pay for other services.
In order to stop posting 'fishing' advertisements like the ones above, Urban Brush
Advertising platforms such as Google AdSense are setting a stoppage of posting of the advertisement, but
It often pops up again when advertisers reapply through various methods.

Urban Brush login is indicated by the word ‘Login’ at the top right of the site.
In order not to be confused with advertisements, you must first access the Urban Brush site.
Please log in using the login button at the top right.

Urban Brush will continue to apply to advertising platforms to prevent fishing ads like the ones above from being posted.

Thank you.

How to change thickness when changing line size in Illustrator

hello. It is an urban brush.

Today, I will teach you how to set whether to change the thickness of a shape made with lines when using Illustrator and change its size, or to change only the size while keeping the thickness constant. In general, it is easy to extend a line into a face, but processing a face into a line is relatively complicated, and it is advantageous to leave the part worked with a line as a line for later modifications, so it is left as is, but depending on the settings, the part that has been worked with a line is left as is. When changing the size, the thickness of the line does not change at the same time, which may result in an odd image, so please learn how to use Illustrator and use it according to the situation.

1. The thickness of the line expands as the size changes.

In the case above, the thickness of the line in the circular shape is 10pt (stroke) at the top. If you increase the size of this shape, it will look like this:

|As the shape grows, you can see that the line thickness (stroke) at the top also expands.

2. Even if the size changes, the thickness of the line remains the same.

In the case above, even if it is expanded, the thickness (stroke) value of the line at the top remains the same, and only the shape becomes larger.

3. Setting up

1) First, right-click the mouse and the tools menu will appear. Click ‘Transform’ -> ‘Resize’.

2) In the size adjustment pop-up, set in the menu called ‘Adjust line and effect size’

If you check the 'Adjust line and effect size' checkbox or not, the thickness will increase depending on the size, and when unchecked, the thickness value will remain constant even if you change the size.

Image Copyright Association Is copyright registration mandatory?

hello. It is an urban brush.

If you created an image or received another person's image, the image
Some of you may be wondering if it is protected by copyright or not.

In the case of music, we know that it is legally protected by registering sound sources with the Copyright Association.
All creations are legally protected the moment they are created.

So, even if you did not separately register the image with the Copyright Association, if you created it, the image
Copyright is protected by the national constitution.

Under Article 10(2) of the Copyright Act, the occurrence of copyright does not require any special procedure or registration.

“Then why register images with the Copyright Association?”

The reason is that it is easy to prove it in the event of a lawsuit or complaint due to copyright issues later.
In other words, if my work is being used by others, I need proof that I created it first.
For example, there will be various evidence such as evidence that you are using it first, date of file creation, and so on.
However, if you register with the Copyright Association first, you do not have to prove this evidence yourself.

Therefore, you have clear evidence that you created it, or
If it is clear that you are actually creating and using the image, it is not necessary to register the image with the Copyright Association.
Of course, this is an area of personal choice.

A new type of fraud involving designer theft settlement money – how to prevent

hello. It is an urban brush.
Recently, an important report has been received from designers, so we will share a new scam method.
I hope no one falls for these scams.

1. Designer Scams

Approach the designer channel and start consulting by approaching as if you were a client.
In a situation where the content of the consultation is not clear and specific, we show an image and ask for a similar design.
Most designers don't think much about references to atmosphere or concepts, as they are considered ideas and do not violate copyright.
And if you present the design price, we will deposit it right away.

And while looking at the draft, they say it's different from the first reference and keep asking to make it more similar.
Some designers won't do that, others will try to do something similar.
Repeat these requests, and keep persuading the designer to come up with an almost identical design.

Then, take the file of the image, and a month later, the owner of the image that the first requester showed to be similar appears.
It is a method of demanding a settlement of millions of won and forcing the writing of an agreement.

Of course, stealing other people's work as it is is a problem with the designer's morality,
It will be difficult to refuse when you meet a client who asks for a similar revision several times and expresses dissatisfaction.

However, even if it is not the final version, the client captures it and uses it for blackmail later.
Therefore, if such a request comes in, you must never accept it, or you must reject it with a single knife, saying that you can never do it similarly to the revision round.

It is a method of colluding with a specific designer to extort the settlement money.

2. How to respond

Once this has happened, you shouldn't give an agreement right away when the original designer contacts you.
In general, since there is a possibility that a design that is said to be original is also a design that has been stolen, it is necessary to find the real author of the image that is said to have copyright in the asset.

Fraudsters want to get the settlement money as soon as possible, so if you delay contact or talk to a legal representative and contact them, the intensity of the threat becomes stronger.
At this time, reassure the scammers as much as possible, say that they are outside now, or say that they cannot bring their bank account OPT,
Make sure that the image is really theirs, and save it separately if you have edited similar images.

Especially these days, you can consult with lawyers for a penny, and that is by using the Kakao Talk channel.
If you type “law office” in the KakaoTalk app, you will see chatting windows for various law offices.
If you simply put in the contents, the lawyers at each law office should give you a simple answer, capture it, and let the scammers know that you are talking to the lawyer.

Due to the difficult economy, investment by each company in the design field is decreasing, so some designers are using this method.
They also ask for settlement money from other designers.

The best way is to strongly reject requests to make something similar, and if you strongly request modifications that were not in the draft, you must inform them that it is a copyright violation.
Please don't fall for these scams.

Editing ai files without illustrator Inkscape - recommended free alternative program

hello. It is an urban brush.
Urban Brush specializes in sharing vector images.
Many people liked the image and downloaded it, but there are some people who are embarrassed because there is no representative ai editing tool.

I actually downloaded the ai file, but there are quite a few people asking how I can modify and edit it.
However, Adobe Illustrator is a paid editing tool, so it may be difficult for ordinary people to use it.
I would like to introduce a representative ai editing tool that can be used for free.

Inkscape is the most common free ai vector editing program.
As you can see from the picture above, Inkscape supports various operating systems such as Windows and masOS.

Download site: https://inkscape.org/ko/

If you need simple modification of the ai file downloaded from Urban Brush, select the appropriate operating system button to download and install.

This is an image downloaded from the airplane vector file downloaded from Urban Brush and opened in Inkscape.
As you can see from the above screen, there is a function to change the color of the line and delete or add an object.

However, it does not provide as many functions as professional tools, but the site says that it is possible to modify the following files.

1. Create and edit fully compatible SVG format files
2. View and edit document tree live in XML editor
3. PNG, OpenDocument drawings, DXF, sk1, PDF, EPS and PostScript export formats, etc.
4. Command line options for export and conversion

In general, 2D-based vector image files have programs such as Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw.
However, on a paid basis, it is possible to use it by paying a monthly fee of several tens of thousands of won or hundreds of thousands of won for companies.

Not a professional designer, but for the purpose of simple editing of created images, you can do almost anything.
However, please note that it is slower than professional tools and that Adobe-specific filters are not supported.

object creation

  • Drawing: Pencil tool (freehand drawing with simple paths), Pen tool (create Bézier curves and straight lines), Calligraphy tool (freehand drawing with filled paths representing calligraphic strokes)
  • Shape tools: rectangle (can have rounded corners), ellipse (including circles, arcs, and line segments), star/polygon (can be rounded or randomized), spiral
  • Text tool (multiline text, full canvas editing)
  • Embedded bitmaps (including commands to create and embed bitmaps of selected objects)
  • Includes tools to create clones (“live” linked copies of objects), patterns, and arrays of clones

object manipulation

  • Transformation (move, scale, rotate, shear) interactively and by specifying exact numeric values
  • Z-order operations (raise and lower)
  • Group objects (“select from group” or “enter group” without ungrouping, create temporary layers)
  • Layers (lock and/or hide individual layers, rearrange, etc.; layers can form hierarchical trees)
  • Align and Distribute Commands
