안녕하세요, 한국 전통의 미학적 서사와 현대적인 조형미를 결합하여 브랜드의 고결한 가치를 디자인하는 디자이너 타미(Tommy)입니다. 이번에 소개해 드릴 프로젝트는 동양적인 선의 아름다움을 글자 속에 녹여낸 ‘전통 타이포그래피 워드마크 디자인 BI’ 포트폴리오입니다.

단순한 서체 배열을 넘어, 군자(君子)의 기개를 상징하는 **연꽃(Lotus Flower)**과 길조를 의미하는 **구름(Cloud)**의 형상을 글자 마디마디에 유기적으로 결합하여 독창적인 **워드마크(Wordmark)**를 구축했습니다. 연꽃의 부드러운 곡선과 구름의 유려한 흐름이 타이포그래피와 조화를 이루는 이 디자인은 비즈니스가 지향하는 **품격 있는 전통의 계승, 맑고 깨끗한 철학, 그리고 평온한 일상의 복(福)**을 시각화합니다. 특히 붓의 필치와 기하학적인 정밀함을 동시에 살려, 전통적인 무게감과 현대적인 세련미를 모두 확보하도록 설계했습니다.

이 디자인은 프리미엄 한식 브랜드, 전통 차(Tea) 및 공예 전문점, 한옥 스테이 및 라이프스타일 브랜드, 사찰 및 명상 센터, 그리고 한국적인 정체성을 강조하고 싶은 모든 헤리티지 비즈니스에 최적화된 아이덴티티입니다. 브랜드의 공식 인장, 건물 전면의 현판 사인물, 고급 굿즈 패키징 및 공식 SNS 채널 프로필에 이르기까지 브랜드의 독보적인 서사와 예술적 가치를 완성해 주는 프리미엄 브랜딩 솔루션입니다.

Hi, I’m Tommy, a designer who designs a brand’s noble value by combining the aesthetic narrative of Korean tradition with modern structural beauty. This project features the “Traditional Typography Wordmark Design BI” portfolio, melting the beauty of Oriental lines into text.

Moving beyond simple font arrangement, I built a unique wordmark by organically combining the shapes of lotus flowers, symbolizing the spirit of a virtuous scholar, and clouds, meaning a good omen, into the segments of the letters. This design, where the soft curves of the lotus and the fluid flow of clouds harmonize with typography, visualizes the values of elegant succession of tradition, a pure and clean philosophy, and the blessings (Bok) of a peaceful daily life. In particular, by utilizing both the brushstroke’s flair and geometric precision, I designed it to secure both traditional weight and modern sophistication.

This identity is perfectly optimized for any heritage business looking to emphasize a South Korean identity, such as premium Korean food brands, traditional tea and craft shops, Hanok stays, lifestyle brands, and meditation centers. It is a premium branding solution that completes the brand’s unique narrative and artistic value across various media, including official seals, hanging board signage, luxury merchandise packaging, and social media profiles.
