Portfolio: Traditional Korean Dokkaebi & Dragon Cycling Jersey Design

안녕하세요, 자전거를 향한 열정과 한국의 전통 미학을 결합하여 독창적인 스타일을 만드는 디자이너 타미(Tommy)입니다. 이번에 소개해 드릴 프로젝트는 한국 전통의 도깨비와 용(龍) 문화를 현대적인 스포츠 웨어로 재해석한 자전거 사이클 져지 유니폼 디자인 포트폴리오입니다. 한국 고유의 화려하고 정교한 단청 문양을 기반으로, 액운을 막아주는 도깨비와 비상하는 용의 기개를 디자인 전반에 녹여내어 강렬하고 위엄 있는 라이더의 이미지를 시각화했습니다. 실제 라이딩 환경에서의 역동성을 고려하여 복잡한 전통 패턴을 세련되게 재구성하였으며, 필드 위에서 압도적인 시인성과 자부심을 동시에 느낄 수 있도록 설계된 프리미엄 커스텀 브랜딩 솔루션입니다.

Hi, I’m Tommy, a designer who creates unique styles by combining a passion for cycling with traditional Korean aesthetics. This project features a Korean traditional-style bicycle cycle jersey uniform design portfolio, reinterpreting Dokkaebi (Korean goblin) and dragon culture into modern sportswear. Based on the vibrant and sophisticated Dancheong patterns, I incorporated the protective spirit of the Dokkaebi and the soaring energy of the dragon to visualize a powerful and dignified image for riders. The complex traditional patterns were refined to match the dynamism of real-world cycling, resulting in a premium custom branding solution designed to ensure overwhelming visibility and a sense of pride on the road.
