Portfolio: Traditional Dancheong & Dokkaebi Cycling Jersey Design
안녕하세요, 자전거를 향한 열정과 한국의 전통 미학을 결합하여 독창적인 스타일을 만드는 디자이너 타미(Tommy)입니다. 이번에 소개해 드릴 프로젝트는 한국 전통의 단청 문양과 도깨비 도안을 활용하여 제작된 자전거 동호회 클럽 유니폼 져지 디자인 포트폴리오입니다. 한국 고유의 화려한 색감과 정교한 단청 무늬를 사이클 의류의 구조에 맞춰 재구성하였으며, 액운을 막아주는 의미를 지닌 도깨비 디자인을 포인트로 배치해 강렬하고 위엄 있는 라이더의 이미지를 시각화했습니다. 필드 위에서 압도적인 시인성을 확보함과 동시에 우리 문화의 아름다움을 현대적인 스포츠 웨어로 승화시킨, 동호회의 자부심을 높여주는 커스텀 브랜딩 솔루션입니다.
Hi, I’m Tommy, a designer who creates unique styles by combining a passion for cycling with traditional Korean aesthetics. This project features a custom cycling club uniform jersey design portfolio, utilizing traditional Dancheong patterns and Dokkaebi (Korean goblin) motifs. I reinterpreted the vibrant colors and sophisticated details of Dancheong to fit the structure of high-performance cycling apparel, while placing the Dokkaebi design—a symbol of protection—as a focal point to visualize a powerful and dignified image for riders. This custom branding solution not only ensures overwhelming visibility on the road but also elevates the club’s pride by transforming cultural heritage into modern sportswear.
