Portfolio: Gyeongju City Identity & Regional Event Poster Design

안녕하세요, 지역의 역사적 깊이와 도시의 미래 비전을 하나의 시각적 흐름으로 연결하는 디자이너 타미(Tommy)입니다. 이번에 소개해 드릴 프로젝트는 천년 고도의 숨결을 간직한 ‘경상북도 경주시’를 주제로 제작된 도시 브랜딩 포스터 디자인 포트폴리오입니다.

경주를 상징하는 신라의 찬란한 유산과 현대적인 도시 경관을 조화롭게 구성하여, 과거에 머물러 있는 도시가 아닌 ‘전통과 현대가 공존하는 문화 관광 도시’의 이미지를 시각화했습니다. 특히 경주만의 고유한 랜드마크 실루엣과 전통 문양을 현대적인 그래픽 모티프로 재해석하여 적용했으며, 정보의 위계질서를 고려한 깔끔한 타이포그래피 배치를 통해 시각적 주목도와 가독성을 동시에 확보했습니다. 이 디자인은 지역 박람회(EXPO), 도시 홍보 포스터, 지자체 컨퍼런스 및 학술 대회 홍보물 등 지역의 정체성을 품격 있게 전달해야 하는 모든 공공 프로젝트에 최적화되어 있습니다. 방문객들에게는 경주의 아름다움을, 시민들에게는 자부심을 선사하는 프리미엄 지역 브랜딩 솔루션입니다.

Hi, I’m Tommy, a designer who connects the historical depth of a region with its future vision into a single visual flow. This project features a city branding poster design portfolio themed around Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, a city that breathes the millennium-old spirit of the Silla Dynasty.

By harmoniously composing Gyeongju’s brilliant cultural heritage with its modern cityscape, I visualized an image of a ‘Cultural Tourism City where tradition and modernity coexist,’ rather than a city stuck in the past. In particular, I reinterpreted Gyeongju’s unique landmark silhouettes and traditional patterns into modern graphic motifs. Through clean typographic placement considering the hierarchy of information, I ensured both visual attention and readability. This design is perfectly optimized for all public projects that need to communicate regional identity with dignity, such as regional expos, city promotional posters, local government conferences, and academic seminars. It is a premium regional branding solution that presents the beauty of Gyeongju to visitors and pride to its citizens.
