Portfolio: Traditional Calligraphy Identity for ‘Pot Lid’ Specialty Restaurant

Hi, I’m Tommy, a designer who visualizes the deep flavor and tradition of a brand through the power of calligraphy. This project features a “Pot Lid Calligraphy Logo Design” portfolio, commissioned by a restaurant specializing in pot-lid dishes.

To capture the dynamism of cooking unfolding on a heavy pot lid along with Korean aesthetics, I applied a bold and powerful brushstroke (Calligraphy) technique. Through the variation of stroke thickness and natural smudging effects, I embodied the characteristic “smoky flavor” and abundant energy of pot-lid cooking. I refined the layout to ensure a coexistence of traditional feeling and modern sophistication. This logo is an identity perfectly optimized for F&B brands that need to emphasize “sincerity” and “depth of flavor,” such as meat specialty restaurants, Korean restaurants, and pot-lid pork belly franchises. It is a premium dining branding solution that completes the dignity of a restaurant, showing a dominant presence across various media including signage, menus, packaging, and apron embroidery.
