Portfolio: Intuitive Regional Map Illustration & Local Event Identity

Hi, I’m Tommy, a designer who reconstructs the value of space into sensible drawings to serve as a kind guide for users. This project features a “Regional Map Illustration Design” portfolio, created to enhance the accessibility of local festivals and events while providing visitors with a joyful exploration experience.

Moving beyond mere geographical information, I visualized regional landmarks and key event points with witty icons and soft color palettes. By simplifying complex terrain into an intuitive guide map format, I designed it so that anyone of any age can easily identify locations. I also placed illustrative elements that reflect local characteristics throughout the map, ensuring it holds value as an event souvenir in itself. This identity is perfectly optimized for projects that must satisfy both information delivery and aesthetic appeal, such as local festivals, town fairs, tourism leaflets, parks, and complex cultural spaces. It is a premium map branding solution that enhances event quality by providing a consistent brand experience across various media, including printed pamphlets, large outdoor signage, and interactive maps on websites.
