Hi, I’m Tommy, a designer who designs enjoyable brand experiences by reinterpreting the intense energy of pop culture and witty humor into a sensible visual language. This project features the “War on Crime Iconic Meme & Quote Illustration Design” portfolio, which wittily transforms a famous cinematic scene.

Moving beyond simple imitation, I set the iconic silhouettes of the movie characters and the typography of famous quotes as the core structures of the design to maximize visual fun and impact for the event. The design, which reconstructs a familiar cinematic scene into a kitschy yet sophisticated illustration style, visualizes the values of cheerful communication, powerful viral effects, and intense familiarity that catches the user’s eye at once. In particular, I designed it by emphasizing character features in a caricature format and applying a vintage color palette to highlight the theme.
